The Necessity Of Engineering Ethics 

1Ethics is the formal study of morality. Engineering ethics are the standards of an engineer. Engineering ethics helps to improve my decision making skills. It also helps to improve my public and private behavior when interacting with people. Codes of ethics teach me to put the safety, health and welfare of public at first and makes me a responsible engineer (casually, legally and morally). We know different code of ethics serves different purposes. These codes also allow an engineer to object the unsafe practices not just a matter of individual conscience but with the weight of entire profession. By violating these code of ethics an engineer may lose its license as well.

  2Engineering ethics also helps to deal with complexity of problems in projects that an engineer face while working in a firm. It also helps me to improve my special knowledge and intellectual skills on professional level. It also teaches me how to cooperate in a group especially when working on a project. It also helps me to boost my confidence. As an engineer in company code of ethics also teach me to avoid all the conflicts of interest because it seems to be unethical and due to perceived deception we may lose the trust of our client that we are dealing personally or professionally. These codes teach to avoid bribery in all its forms and also helps to appreciate the efforts of others. These codes also state as an engineer it is our duty to treat all persons fairly regardless of their race, cast etc. 

  3After code of ethics there are several NSPE code of ethics that we learnt in this course as well. An engineer should not affix its signature to any plan or documents dealing with subject matter in which they lack competence and shall not accept finances from then one party at a time on the same project unless agreed by both parties. Working as an engineer in industry engineering ethics also teaches us to keep the information of their clients confidential and always prefer to the company in which they are currently working. An engineer should be loyal to his company and never reveal its secrets. By virtue of being a professional engineer it is also a duty of an engineer not to reveal the trade secrets of its former company/employ. Engineering ethics also helps me to enhance my ethical skills. It also teaches to avoid injuring other by false or malicious actions. 

  4In the end engineering ethics helps us to remain positive and to think more deeply about the concerns. It also helps us to rebuild an ethical community. It is the core part of who we about to become in future. This whole course also teaches me to put the safety of others first, to think creatively in difficult situations, to deal with others when working in a group, talk to the clients confidentially, to ensure our design have the best possible impact in other person life and always benefits best interest in people

1 নীতিশাস্ত্র হল নৈতিকতার আনুষ্ঠানিক অধ্যয়ন। ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং নৈতিকতা হল একজন প্রকৌশলীর মান। ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং নীতিশাস্ত্র আমার সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণের দক্ষতা উন্নত করতে সাহায্য করে। এটি মানুষের সাথে যোগাযোগ করার সময় আমার সর্বজনীন এবং ব্যক্তিগত আচরণ উন্নত করতে সহায়তা করে। নৈতিকতার কোড আমাকে সর্বপ্রথম জনসাধারণের নিরাপত্তা, স্বাস্থ্য এবং কল্যাণ রাখতে শেখায় এবং আমাকে একজন দায়িত্বশীল প্রকৌশলী করে তোলে (আকস্মিকভাবে, আইনগতভাবে এবং নৈতিকভাবে)। আমরা জানি বিভিন্ন নৈতিকতার কোড বিভিন্ন উদ্দেশ্যে কাজ করে। এই কোডগুলি একজন প্রকৌশলীকে শুধুমাত্র ব্যক্তিগত বিবেকের বিষয় নয় বরং সমগ্র পেশার ওজন নিয়ে অনিরাপদ অনুশীলনের আপত্তি করার অনুমতি দেয়। এই নীতিমালা লঙ্ঘন করে একজন প্রকৌশলী তার লাইসেন্সও হারাতে পারে।

  2 ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং নীতিশাস্ত্র একটি ফার্মে কাজ করার সময় একজন প্রকৌশলী যে প্রকল্পগুলির সম্মুখীন হয় সেগুলির জটিলতাগুলি মোকাবেলা করতেও সাহায্য করে৷ এটি আমাকে পেশাদার স্তরে আমার বিশেষ জ্ঞান এবং বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক দক্ষতা উন্নত করতেও সাহায্য করে। এটি আমাকে শেখায় কিভাবে একটি গ্রুপে সহযোগিতা করতে হয় বিশেষ করে যখন একটি প্রকল্পে কাজ করা হয়। এটা আমাকে আমার আত্মবিশ্বাস বাড়াতেও সাহায্য করে। কোম্পানির নীতিশাস্ত্রের একজন প্রকৌশলী হিসাবে আমাকে সকল স্বার্থের দ্বন্দ্ব এড়াতে শেখান কারণ এটি অনৈতিক বলে মনে হয় এবং অনুভূত প্রতারণার কারণে আমরা আমাদের ক্লায়েন্টের বিশ্বাস হারাতে পারি যে আমরা ব্যক্তিগতভাবে বা পেশাগতভাবে কাজ করছি। এই কোডগুলো সব ধরনের ঘুষ এড়াতে শেখায় এবং অন্যদের প্রচেষ্টার প্রশংসা করতেও সাহায্য করে। এই কোডগুলি একজন প্রকৌশলী হিসাবেও বলে যে জাতি, বর্ণ ইত্যাদি নির্বিশেষে সকল ব্যক্তির সাথে ন্যায্য আচরণ করা আমাদের কর্তব্য। 

  3নীতিশাস্ত্রের পরে বেশ কিছু এনএসপিই কোড অফ এথিক্স রয়েছে যা আমরা এই কোর্সেও শিখেছি। একজন প্রকৌশলীর এমন কোনো প্ল্যান বা নথিতে তার স্বাক্ষর সংযুক্ত করা উচিত নয় যেখানে তাদের দক্ষতার অভাব রয়েছে এবং উভয় পক্ষের দ্বারা সম্মত না হলে একই প্রকল্পে একই সময়ে একটি পক্ষের কাছ থেকে অর্থ গ্রহণ করবে না। ইন্ডাস্ট্রি ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং নীতিশাস্ত্রে একজন প্রকৌশলী হিসাবে কাজ করা আমাদেরকে তাদের ক্লায়েন্টদের তথ্য গোপন রাখতে এবং তারা বর্তমানে যে কোম্পানিতে কাজ করছে তাকে সর্বদা পছন্দ করতে শেখায়। একজন প্রকৌশলী তার কোম্পানির প্রতি অনুগত হওয়া উচিত এবং এর গোপনীয়তা প্রকাশ করবেন না। একজন পেশাদার প্রকৌশলী হওয়ার কারণে একজন প্রকৌশলীর এটাও কর্তব্য যে তার প্রাক্তন কোম্পানি/কর্মচারীর বাণিজ্য গোপনীয়তা প্রকাশ না করা। ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং নীতিশাস্ত্র আমাকে আমার নৈতিক দক্ষতা বাড়াতে সাহায্য করে। 

  4 শেষ পর্যন্ত ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং নীতিশাস্ত্র আমাদের ইতিবাচক থাকতে এবং উদ্বেগগুলি সম্পর্কে আরও গভীরভাবে চিন্তা করতে সাহায্য করে। এটি আমাদের একটি নৈতিক সম্প্রদায় পুনর্গঠনেও সাহায্য করে। এটা হচ্ছে আমরা ভবিষ্যতে কে হতে যাচ্ছি তার মূল অংশ। এই পুরো কোর্সটি আমাকে অন্যদের সুরক্ষাকে প্রথমে রাখতে, কঠিন পরিস্থিতিতে সৃজনশীলভাবে চিন্তা করতে, একটি গ্রুপে কাজ করার সময় অন্যদের সাথে মোকাবিলা করতে, ক্লায়েন্টদের সাথে গোপনে কথা বলতে, আমাদের ডিজাইনের অন্য ব্যক্তির জীবনে সর্বোত্তম সম্ভাব্য প্রভাব নিশ্চিত করতে শেখায়। এবং সর্বদা মানুষের সর্বোত্তম আগ্রহের উপকার করে
